THE GOOD NEWS

John 7:38

”Whoever believes in me… rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

Jesus Is the True Source of Living Water!
Jesus Is the True Source of Living Water!

In John 4, Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well and gently draws her to a deeper question: what is flowing from within you? Scripture calls the Lord the fountain of living water—and if we want a life-giving flow, we must return to the right source: His presence. It’s not always easy to enter in, but it is always worth it, shaping who we are and who we’re becoming. So take a moment to reflect—have the pressures of life, past wounds, or present struggles begun to take up more space than they should? You’re not alone in that place, and there is a way forward. As Matthew 6:21 reminds us, where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Are we bringing life into the spaces we enter, or unintentionally carrying something heavier? As believers, we’re invited to be vessels through which the living water of the Holy Spirit flows—always remembering that God is the source. Whether we find ourselves in life’s valleys or on the mountaintops, we can keep returning to His presence.

Learning to allow the Holy Spirit to flow through us is a process. As Paul shared in 1 Corinthians 9:27, it takes intentional discipline and a heart committed to staying aligned, not out of pressure, but out of purpose. We are human, and we won’t get it perfect—but we can keep growing and striving.

Even in moments when others hurt us—whether intentionally or not—God can gently help us guard our hearts from bitterness. When it feels like He hasn’t moved in the timing we hoped for, He is still present, still working.

So what do we do when life feels overwhelming or discouraging? We return to the well again and again. We place our situation in His hands and trust Him to carry it. In time, His peace and presence will begin to flow through even the hardest places.

With Love,
