Part 1: Trusting God In the Waiting Room

Have you ever wondered how God could bring good out of painful circumstances?

Waiting requires patience, and patience is one of the hardest things for most of us to practice. Especially in a world where everything is instant: instant weight loss, fast food, same-day delivery, and answers at the push of a button. We have become accustomed to getting what we want quickly. But when it comes to God, there is no rushing the process He uses to shape us. As difficult as it can be, there is purpose in the waiting.
Often, when we pray, we see immediate answers. Those moments are wonderful, but they usually aren't the ones that test our faith. The real challenge comes when we pray and the answer doesn't arrive within the timeframe we expected. We pray, we hope, we wait... and sometimes all we hear is silence. I've experienced those seasons myself. Waiting has both stretched and strengthened my faith, but if I'm honest, it has also brought frustration, disappointment, pain, and more questions.
There have been times when I've wondered why God wasn't moving faster or why He would allow certain hardships to continue.
While I don't pretend to have all the answers, one thing I have come to understand is this: God is more concerned with our character than our comfort. He loves us too much to leave us unchanged. His goal isn't simply to make our lives easier; it's to make us more like Christ and prepare us for the purpose He has for us, here on this earth.
God's timing may not be our timing, but He is never late.
So if you're in a season of waiting today, take heart. What feels like a delay may actually be God doing some of His deepest work beneath the surface. Never allow your waiting to be wasted. Instead, transform it into a place of prayer, expectancy, and unwavering trust, where your faith grows the most. And trust that even when you cannot see Him moving, God is working behind the scenes, weaving every detail together for your good and His purpose.
